Well, if there’s a single noun you could use to best describe Philip Lago, it’s that. Equal parts realtor and renaissance man, his career origins can be traced to a youthful stint in construction, specifically framing. From there, Philip turned his attention to the fashion industry, where he studied at the renowned Polimoda — a private fashion school in Florence — and then worked for one of the world’s top denim brands in a management and merchandising role. And while in Europe, Philip developed a passion for cooking that he continues to pursue today as one-half of Chef Sous Chef, an increasingly visible culinary platform he co-founded with his wife. Perhaps inevitably, upon purchasing and flipping his first house, Philip realized he could weave together his history in structure support and shape, fluency in couture and love of the kitchen — not to mention a calm demeanour and no-nonsense approach honed over these many disciplines — to help others recognize value and assess potential issues in buying or selling homes.
